Connecting places and collections

In aspiring to investigate diverse industrial and technological collections the Congruence Engine project highlights fragmentation loss of knowledge that often occurs when an industry or individual workplace closes, a technology becomes obsolescent redundant. Until relatively recently (often due narrow institutional responsibilities collecting policies) heritage sector has had little ability secure holistic understanding workplaces inter-connectedness people, places, technology, objects their associated records.
